Using finite element method (FEM), physical behaviors of a car are simulated in crash use cases. The parametrized FEM is used in simulation runs which consumes a significant amount of time resources because the causalities of input parameters and results of the simulation is not transparent and highly complex. For reducing simulation runs, most promising FE parametrizations shall be made transparent using results from former simulation runs. This data needs to pre-processed for feature extraction and consequently can be used as input training data for the prediction model. The results of the feature extraction makes coherences in FE parametrization transparent.
